This Creator Agreement applies to all users who upload music or other content to IWEYmusic.com for the purpose of distribution, sale, or fan support. It forms part of and supplements our Terms & Conditions.
By uploading your first track or activating a creator account, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to this Agreement in full.
This Agreement applies to any individual or legal entity (“Creator”, “you”) who:
Listeners who do not upload content are not subject to this Agreement (they are governed solely by the Terms & Conditions).
If you are entering into this Agreement on behalf of a company or other legal entity (such as a record label or music publisher), you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity, and “you” in this Agreement refers to that entity.
To become a Creator on IWEYmusic you must:
Payouts are processed exclusively via Stripe Connect. To receive earnings, you must complete Stripe’s identity verification and onboarding process. This process is controlled by Stripe, not IWEYmusic, and we have no influence over Stripe’s verification decisions. If Stripe declines your onboarding or restricts your account, we are unable to process payouts to you until the issue is resolved directly with Stripe.
You must keep your creator profile, contact details, and payout information accurate and current. Providing false identity information, bank details, or tax information is a material breach of this Agreement and may be reported to relevant authorities.
IWEYmusic is a platform for original music. You may only upload content that you created, own, or have the full legal right to distribute and monetise on the platform. This includes:

You retain full ownership of all copyright and other intellectual property rights in the content you upload to IWEYmusic. This Agreement does not transfer any ownership rights to Hellström Trading i Göteborg AB.
By uploading content, you grant Hellström Trading i Göteborg AB a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable licence to:
This licence is granted for the sole purpose of operating, promoting, and improving the IWEYmusic platform. It does not permit us to sell, sublicense, or commercially exploit your content outside the platform.
This licence terminates when you remove the relevant content from the platform or close your account in good standing, subject to a technical propagation period of up to 30 days. Downloaded files made in the context of user purchases remain with the purchasing user permanently under their personal licence. Streaming access for users who have purchased your content is time-limited to 6 months from the purchase date and will expire automatically regardless of content removal.
By uploading any content to IWEYmusic, you warrant and represent that:
You are solely and exclusively responsible for ensuring your content does not infringe any third-party rights. IWEYmusic does not pre-screen uploaded content for copyright compliance. We act on valid takedown notices under our Copyright & Takedown Policy, but this does not constitute an endorsement or verification of the legality of your content.
If it is found that any warranty in Section 5.1 was false or inaccurate, we may immediately remove the infringing content, suspend or terminate your account, withhold or forfeit pending payouts, and pursue or cooperate with any legal proceedings arising from the infringement.
IWEYmusic charges a commission of 30% of the gross transaction value on music purchases and commercial licence sales. Fan donations and tips are commission-free — only Stripe’s payment processing fees apply. This applies to:

The 70% creator share (for purchases and licences) is calculated on the gross transaction amount before Stripe’s payment processing fees are deducted. For donations, the full amount is passed to the Creator minus only Stripe’s processing fees. Current Stripe fees for European cards are approximately 1.5% + €0.25 per transaction (subject to change — refer to stripe.com/en-se/pricing for current rates).
Example: A fan purchases your track for €10.00. IWEYmusic retains €3.00 (30%). Your gross creator share is €7.00. Stripe deducts approximately €0.40 (1.5% + €0.25). Your net payout is approximately €6.60.
Commission rates may be revised with 30 days’ written notice to active Creators. Revised rates apply only to transactions that occur after the effective date of the change.
All creator payouts are processed through Stripe Connect. By activating creator monetisation on IWEYmusic, you agree to the Stripe Connected Account Agreement. You are responsible for completing Stripe’s Know Your Customer (KYC) identity verification process before payouts can be activated.
Earnings are subject to a 7-day rolling hold from the date of each transaction to allow for potential refund windows and dispute resolution. After the hold period, earnings are aggregated and paid out on a weekly basis, provided the minimum payout threshold has been met.

If your balance does not reach the minimum threshold in a given week, it rolls over to the following week. There is no expiry on accrued balances for accounts in good standing.
You are responsible for maintaining accurate and valid bank account details in your Stripe Connect dashboard. IWEYmusic is not liable for failed or delayed payouts resulting from incorrect banking information provided by you.
Stripe acts as the payment processor and is responsible for the technical execution of payouts. Any disputes about payout timing or amounts must first be raised with us at support@iweymusic.com. We will liaise with Stripe on your behalf where necessary.
We reserve the right to place a hold on pending payouts in the following circumstances:
We will notify you by email if a hold is placed on your account, stating the reason. We aim to resolve holds within 30 days. Where an investigation is complex or involves legal proceedings, holds may extend beyond this period. We will keep you informed of material developments.
Pending earnings may be forfeited (not paid out and retained by IWEYmusic) in the following circumstances:
Forfeiture is a last resort. We will give you the opportunity to respond before taking this action except where legally prohibited.
You are solely and exclusively responsible for determining, declaring, and paying all taxes applicable to your earnings from IWEYmusic, including but not limited to income tax, self-employment tax, value added tax (VAT/moms), and any other applicable levies in your country of residence or operation.
IWEYmusic does not withhold income tax from creator payouts. We pay your creator share (70% for purchases, 100% for donations) gross of any income tax. We are not your employer, and creator payouts do not constitute employment income from IWEYmusic.
If you are VAT-registered in Sweden or the EU and provide digital services through the platform, you may have VAT obligations. You are responsible for understanding and complying with your own VAT registration and reporting obligations. IWEYmusic applies VAT to transactions at the point of sale as the disclosed merchant of record; creator payouts are a commercial distribution of net proceeds, not a taxable supply from you to IWEYmusic.
We will provide you with an annual earnings summary upon request for use in tax filing. This summary will state total gross transactions, platform commission deducted, and total creator payouts. It is your responsibility to use this information correctly in your tax returns.
We may request your tax identification number (Swedish personnummer, organisationsnummer, or EU VAT number) in connection with regulatory reporting obligations. Failure to provide accurate tax information may result in a hold on your payouts.
You have full control over the pricing of your music and any commercial licences you offer. You may also set content as free to stream or free to download, in which case no transaction commission is charged.
Where applicable, we may set minimum or maximum price floors and ceilings to maintain platform integrity. Current limits (if any) are displayed in your creator dashboard. We will provide 14 days’ notice before implementing new price limits.
You may change the price of your content at any time. Price changes apply only to transactions made after the change. Previously purchased licences are not affected.
IWEYmusic may run platform-wide promotional periods (e.g., discounts, featured placement). Your participation in any promotion is always opt-in and will be presented to you in advance.
You may remove any of your content from the platform at any time via your creator dashboard. Removal will take effect within a reasonable technical propagation period (up to 72 hours). Removal does not entitle you to reverse completed transactions or retrieve earnings already paid out.
We may remove or disable access to your content without prior notice if:
We will notify you of removals by IWEYmusic, including the reason, unless prohibited by law or court order.
If your content is removed following a copyright takedown notice and you believe this was in error, you may file a counter-notice under the procedure described in our Copyright & Takedown Policy.
In addition to the conduct prohibited under the Terms & Conditions and Acceptable Use Policy, Creators specifically must not:
We may suspend or permanently terminate your creator account, with immediate effect and without prior notice, if you:
You may terminate this Agreement at any time by closing your creator account. To do so, contact support@iweymusic.com. Upon voluntary termination in good standing, any outstanding earnings above the minimum payout threshold (€10.00) will be paid out in the next payout cycle.
On termination:
You agree to fully indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Hellström Trading i Göteborg AB, its directors, employees, contractors, and agents from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in connection with:
We will notify you promptly of any claim covered by this indemnity and give you reasonable opportunity to respond. We may participate in the defence of any such claim at our own cost.
To the maximum extent permitted by Swedish and EU law, Hellström Trading i Göteborg AB shall not be liable to you for:
Our total aggregate liability to you under this Agreement shall not exceed the total commission we have retained from your transactions in the 12 months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
We may update this Creator Agreement from time to time. For material changes — particularly changes to commission rates, payout terms, or copyright responsibilities — we will provide at least 30 days’ written notice to your registered email address before changes take effect.
Your continued use of the creator features of IWEYmusic after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Agreement. If you do not accept the changes, you must stop using creator features and may terminate your account.
This Agreement is governed by the laws of Sweden. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with this Agreement that cannot be resolved amicably shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Gothenburg, Sweden (Göteborgs tingsrätt).
If you are a consumer (not a business), you are not deprived of the protection of any mandatory consumer protection provisions of the law of your country of residence.
