Community Guidelines

Effective date: 1 January 2025 · Last updated: 1 January 2025
Issued by: Hellström Trading i Göteborg AB — operating IWEYmusic.com

IWEYmusic exists for one reason: to put original music and the artists who make it at the centre of a fair, sustainable creative economy. These guidelines are the human side of that mission — a description of the community we're building and the values we hold.

These guidelines work alongside our Acceptable Use Policy (which is the legal version). Think of this as the spirit; that document is the letter.

Our Core Values

🎵

Originality First

IWEYmusic is for music you made. We are not a re-upload platform, a covers platform, or a distribution relay. We exist to surface original voices.

⚖️

Fair Compensation

Artists deserve to earn from their work. Every feature we build is designed to increase the share of value that flows back to creators.

🤝

Mutual Respect

Listeners and creators are equal stakeholders in this community. We treat each other with the respect we'd want in return.

🔍

Transparency

We're honest about how the platform works — from commission rates to moderation decisions. No hidden algorithms, no shadow practices.

For Creators

Be the artist you say you are

Your profile is your identity on IWEYmusic. Use your real artist name (or an established alias), upload music you made, and represent your work truthfully. Listeners choose to support you personally — don't betray that trust.

Respect other artists

Building yourself up doesn't require tearing others down. Don't file false copyright claims on competitors' work. Don't coordinate groups to downvote or mass-report other creators.

Be clear about collaborations

If a track features another artist, credit them. If you're uploading collaborative work, ensure all contributors have agreed to the upload and the terms under which it is sold or shared.

Use AI tools honestly

We embrace the use of AI as a creative tool. If AI played a significant role in your music's creation, please disclose this in your track description. Audiences deserve to know what they're supporting, and honesty builds lasting fan relationships.

Price your work fairly

You set your own prices. We ask that you price in good faith — not exploitatively, and not so low that it devalues the work of other creators in your genre.

For Listeners

Support artists directly

Every purchase and donation on IWEYmusic goes directly to the creator (minus our platform fee). You are not paying a record label or an intermediary. You are supporting a person. That matters.

Engage genuinely

Leave real feedback. Share music you genuinely love. The value of discovery on IWEYmusic depends on listeners acting in good faith, not gaming recommendation systems.

Respect creators' rights

Purchasing music on IWEYmusic gives you a personal licence to listen. It does not give you the right to redistribute, re-upload, or use the music commercially. Check the licence terms on each track.

Language and Expression

We support artistic freedom and understand that music often explores dark, complex, or challenging themes. We do not require music to be sanitised or commercially safe.

However, there is a line between artistic expression and targeted harm:

The AI Music Community

IWEYmusic was built with AI-assisted music creation in mind. We believe AI is a tool, like a synthesizer or a DAW — it is in the hands of the artist that it becomes music.

What we celebrate:

What we do not allow:

Moderation

Our moderation team reviews reported content and accounts. We aim to be fair, consistent, and human in our decisions. We will always consider context before acting.

If you believe a moderation decision affecting your account was made in error, contact support@iweymusic.com with your appeal. We review all appeals within 10 business days.

Growing Together

These guidelines will evolve as IWEYmusic grows. We'll keep creators informed of meaningful changes and, where possible, consult the community before implementing them.

If you have feedback on these guidelines or want to flag something we haven't addressed, reach us at support@iweymusic.com.
